Dr. Lisa Landry Mathews
Dr Lisa Mathews graduated from the Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University in 1992 and from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1996. Upon graduation, she entered into an associateship in Shreveport LA and moved quickly into her own practice in Bossier City in September of 2001. She has maintained the active, thriving practice of Lagniappe Dental ever since, and recently acquired the practice of the late Dr David Hodgkiss in Springhill LA – now Lagniappe Dental North - in April of 2019. Dr Mathews enjoys the treatment planning and diagnosing aspects of dentistry, TMJ dysfunction, and esthetics, which led her to open the esthetic portion of her practice as Lagniappe Esthetics and Facial Pain Therapy in 2023. She has trained extensively in neurotoxins such as Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport for esthetic and therapeutic purposes as well as in hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane; Sculptra and Radiesse collagen stimulators; PDO smooth and lifting threads (non-surgical face lifts); radiofrequency, fractional RF, and IPL treatments; and dermafacials and microneedling. Dr Mathews now limits her practice to esthetics, facial pain management, and TMJ disorder treatments exclusively. She is/has been a member of the American/Louisiana/Northwest Dental Associations, Academy of General Dentistry, Pankey Education, Seattle Study Club, Spear Education, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).
Dr Mathews has been married to her high school sweetheart Jason for 30 years, and they have two children: Jackson, who is engaged to Katherine Weeks, and Savannah, who is a junior at NSU. She is very active at St Jude Catholic Church where she participates in many ministries such as lector, Eucharistic minister, food baskets, and community dinner. She has served the NSU Alumni Board for many years and is its current secretary. Dr Mathews enjoys traveling, crafting, reading, strength training, Pilates, and yoga. She enjoys supporting many different community, social, and school related activities and charities. As a huge football fan, you can find her on Friday nights supporting the Benton Tigers, Saturdays rooting for the NSU Demons, and Sundays cheering for her New Orleans Saints!
